" It's been a week since I purchased my Mercedes CLC from Moorelands and I wanted to write to say how delighted I am with both the car and the service received from yourself and the team at Moorelands.

As you know, I'd visited lots of dealers and traders over the previous weeks and I'd travelled quite some distance with the intention of purchasing a car from another dealer - I choose to purchase from Moorelands instead as the experience was 'very different'.

Upon arrival at Elm Lea Farm it was clear that Moorelands was a place that I could feel comfortable and confident in buying a car. Each car viewed in the showroom and the adjacent forecourt were immaculate and upon quizzing Ian about the history of the car I was interested in, full documentation was provided detailing servicing, MOT and all other relevant information. The condition of the vehicle inside and out can only be described as 'nearly new'.

More relevant than the condition of the car however, was the feeling from start to finish that Moorelands were a professional, friendly and trust-worthy business. Dealing with Ian was an absolute pleasure and the included warranty and break-down cover left me in no doubt that buying from Moorelands was the right choice.

I valued the non-pushy approach, letting us test drive the car ourselves and simple things - such as being acknowledged even when you were with other customers. I will be recommending Moorelands to friends and family and keeping an eye on your stock-list next time I am looking to upgrade. "

" Having looked at seven Porsche Boxsters, and then being let down on the condition of another Boxster, having travelled 140 miles to see it, we drove a further 53 miles to check on yet another Boxster, at Moorlands, just outside Basingstoke. Immediately as we parked outside the showroom, we were thrilled to see an immaculate and very well presented Porsche Boxster. We were welcomed by Ian, the salesman, who showed us around the car in a totally non-pushy manner, which endeared us to both the car and the possibility of buying it, and then he simply handed us the keys and told us to take it out for a drive and give it a good test to make sure we were happy with it. We duly obliged and were truly impressed by the car. Suffice to say on our return we quickly paid the necessary deposit and congratulated ourselves on finding our perfect car.

The next weekend I collected the car, which was in beautiful freshly groomed condition, and in the ensuing weeks we have grown to love the car even more than we did when we first saw it, if that were possible. I have several points I would like to make regarding the service we received from Moorlands, and in particular, Ian. Firstly, a potential customer wants to see a clean, genuine car identical to that which is advertised, not find excuses etc to cover up knocks and bumps on the paintwork etc. Secondly, a customer is more likely to decide on a car purchase if he/she is not subject to the hard sell / pushy approach adopted by many car salespeople today. Thirdly, when a customer takes a positive liking to a car salesman's approach, he or she is much more likely to but from the car showroom.

Moorlands offered all of the above positives and much more. In fact, within ten minutes of seeing the car and meeting Ian, we had already decided to buy the Porsche Boxster. Unlike the 7 previous cars we had looked at, this was a genuine car, at a great price, offered by a genuine company with the right approach to selling cars. If any of the previous showrooms haqd offered what Moorlands did, then we would never have been to Moorlands in the first place. Both my wife Lisa and myself are very happy fate intervened to send us to Moorlands as we are not only very happy with our purchase but when we look at upgrading to a newer Boxster in the next 18 months, then there is only one call I will make to source the vehicle - Ian at Moorlands. "
